Role Overview
As a Freelance Kyrgyz Interpreter, your role is to bridge communication gaps between individuals who don’t share a common language. You’ll provide accurate, impartial, and confidential interpreting services to ensure effective two-way communication.
What You’ll Do

Deliver professional language interpreting services across various settings, including:

Commercial/Business: Support business communications.

Asylum and Refugee Services: Assist vulnerable individuals.

Healthcare: Facilitate medical appointments and consultations.

Legal: Interpret for legal proceedings.
-
Social Services: Support local authorities and social housing.
-
Education/Employment: Aid in educational and job-related discussions.

Follow Clear Voice’s strict Code of Conduct to maintain professionalism.

Provide exceptional customer service with punctuality and reliability.

Stay impartial, courteous, and culturally aware during assignments.
Qualifications and Skills
We’re looking for interpreters who bring professionalism and expertise to the role. Preferred qualifications include:

Experience: At least 2 years of interpreting experience.

Certifications:
-
Community Interpreting Level 3 Certificate.
-
Diploma in Police Interpreting (DPI) or Metropolitan Police Test.
-
Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI).
-
Other interpreting or translation qualifications.

Education:
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Languages, Translation, Interpretation, Linguistics, or related fields.

Certificate of Higher Education in Translation, Interpretation, or Linguistics.

Professional Memberships:
-
National Register of Public Service Interpreters (NRPSI).
-
Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL).
-
Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI).
-

Language Skills: Proficiency in English (evidence may be required).

Other Requirements:

Eligibility to work in the UK.

Valid DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).

Two professional references.
